Broccoli

So I'm rummaging through my collection of dv tapes trying to find the footage of the band Taller Than Trees in the studio. I told my buddy Luis that I'd cut a little music video out of it and its been almost a year since we shot it.

I've been taking these online typing tests and I've discovered that my average wpm is about 48-50 words per minute. Heck yeah.

I steamed some broccoli and brussell sprouts today. I figure I'd eat healthy today. But I'm grilling me a steak later.

The class that I film for did their midterms today. They did public service announcements. The kid with autism did his psa about finding a cure for autism. He said he wants someone to find a cure for autism so he can learn to drive and be normal. George was in tears. As a camera operator for auditions its best not to show emotions.

I guess I'm gonna film a short tomorrow. My buddy Alonzo has had a short script in the works for like a year. Finally he's gonna get it shot. Haha. Lets hope the rewrites have gotten better.

Its been a bit since the last post. so lets start with few things.

So I worked on a zombie short called Human Root this past weekend. I dont think I've fully recovered. I'm still so tired. I feel like a zombie.

I've been swamped with work lately. between getting the kickstarter up and editing, and re-editing these real estate videos I've found that I am glued to my computer. I need to go outside. I want to skateboard again but i still feel sick and its kinda raining outside.

hmm, what else is new? I still need to clean the office, it just got destroyed again. I hate having to find a simple little item and then turing the entire room upside down looking for it.

I'm eating wheat thins.

I worked on this I think the summer of 2010 (not exactly sure when anymore). Shot in Daly City and Pacifica. The cliff stuff was really fun, super windy tho and really scared that the camera jib was gonna swing around and knock someone into the ocean.

Zombies!

Today was the first day of the zombie short. I was running around and doing a ton of stuff so I had my friend Jesse take a bunch of shots with my camera. When I got home I checked my camera, here's a few things I found. I really like this lens.

Disposal

Today I washed the dishes in the sink. Just thought I'd be helpful for a change. I get through the pots and pans with out a hitch. But when I started to do the utensils, I dropped a fork and it went down the drain. I thought to myself.. Hell no. I am not sticking my hand down there. Like 80 percent of the time someone ends up losing something cause out of nowhere something ends up flipping the garbage disposal switch and make a human smoothie. I've seen it happen before... well, in movies. So what did I do? I thought it would have been smart to turn off the power to that part of the house. So I go to the circuit breakers and start flipping switches. (keep in mind I have no clue how any of that stuff works.) I finally manage to turn the power off to the kitchen and retrieve the fork. But now all the clocks in my house needed to be reset... damn. All for a tiny fork.

The Blog!

I've noticed that a lot of people I know are getting into personal blogging. I thought about it after a while and I mentioned it to another friend of mine that blogging just feels like the more adult way of expressing yourself. Yeah theres facebook, and once upon a time there was myspace and friendster (which I'm trying to bring back, add me!) but you could never really get as up close and personal as a blog. They're pretty the 21'st centuries diary, except paperless. And yeah, its still out there in the world for public viewing, but for some people, you could only find it if you knew where to look. After a while I noticed that I've built up a little favorites folder on my web browser full of people who's blogs I frequent. I'm happy to share them, cause theres some seriously underrated blogging going down.
